Gut Health & Nutrition
in Milton, GA
A practical place to start with food, digestive concerns, and the routines that shape your day.
OlympusMD Wellness offers gut-health and nutrition consultations in Milton, Georgia. Bring the questions you have about eating patterns, digestive discomfort, supplements, or fitting healthier routines into a busy life. We help you identify what belongs in a medical conversation, where coaching may be useful, and a manageable next step.
Start with your priorities
One conversation.
Your next step.
- Nutrition and everyday food routines
- Digestive concerns to discuss with a clinician
- Health coaching and practical follow-through
- Connections with your broader care
What would you like help with?
“Gut health” is a broad term, and people arrive with very different questions. You may want to discuss a pattern of bloating or bowel changes, review food habits while working on your weight, or understand where supplements fit into your existing care. There is no single program that fits every person or every symptom.
Tell us what you have noticed, how long it has been happening, and how it affects eating, sleep, work, or activities. We can help you start the right conversation. Persistent or changing symptoms deserve clinical attention; a nutrition plan should not take the place of evaluating a medical concern.
Food routines that fit real life
Shift work, travel, family meals, food preferences, budget, and time for shopping all shape what is realistic. Coaching can focus on the practical barriers you identify and how to make changes you can actually follow. You do not need a perfect food diary or a complete lifestyle overhaul before calling.
Questions about supplements
Bring the bottles or a list of products you use, including powders, vitamins, over-the-counter remedies, and products recommended online. Tell us why you started them and what you have noticed. Discuss supplements alongside medications and health history rather than assuming that a product marketed for “gut health” is automatically suitable for you.
Medical evaluation and coaching have different roles
A medical clinician evaluates symptoms and decides whether examination, testing, treatment, or referral is appropriate. Health coaching helps you work on habits and follow through with an agreed plan. A coach does not replace a medical diagnosis or specialist care.
Our team includes Gigi Samed, MD, MBA, Dan McCarthy, PA, and Tori McVay, BSN, RN, FMCHC. Tori’s role includes nursing and health coaching, with experience supporting nutrition, gut health, and women’s wellness goals. Ask our team which appointment and professional match the support you are seeking. Meet the team and read their backgrounds.
OlympusMD is a medical wellness clinic. If your symptoms call for gastroenterology or another specialty, discuss that next step with your clinician. Coordinating with your established medical team can be more useful than adding another wellness product.
What to expect from a gut-health consultation
1. Describe your concerns and priorities
Start with the change you would most like to understand or the routine you would like help improving. Share relevant diagnoses, current treatment, dietary restrictions, and previous efforts. If you have already had an evaluation elsewhere, bring the results or ask how to make them available to your clinician.
2. Review the next steps that fit your situation
Depending on your needs, the conversation may involve nutrition, coaching, a medical assessment, appropriate testing, or care outside the clinic. Ask what a proposed test would help answer and how the result might affect the plan. Testing should have a purpose; a large panel is not automatically the right starting point.
3. Agree on something practical
A useful plan should be understandable: what you are working on, who is responsible for each part of your care, what follow-up is appropriate, and whom to contact if concerns arise. Ask about visit and testing costs before proceeding. The scope of care depends on your assessment and the services appropriate for you.
4. Revisit the plan
Tell the team what has been manageable and what has not. A follow-up conversation can help clarify questions and decide whether the plan needs adjustment or a different medical evaluation. Report new or worsening symptoms rather than assuming they are part of a wellness process.
Connect nutrition with your broader care
Digestive concerns and food routines can be discussed alongside other priorities without turning every visit into a package of services. If you are exploring medical weight loss, ask about optional nutrition and coaching support. If you are already receiving treatment, let your prescribing clinician know about digestive symptoms or changes that concern you.
For people seeking women’s hormone and menopause care or men’s hormone care, nutrition may be one part of the broader discussion. A digestive symptom does not by itself establish a hormone problem, and a hormone treatment should not be presented as a cure for gut concerns.
IV therapy, peptide consultations, and our other medical wellness services have their own assessment and suitability requirements. You can start with gut health alone. Our Seven Pillars of Health framework explains how the clinic considers the wider picture without requiring every service.
Gut-health questions, answered
Do I need a diagnosis before booking?
No. Call and describe the concern you would like help with. Our team can explain the types of appointments available and whether a medical visit, coaching conversation, or another route is the appropriate starting point. We cannot diagnose the cause of symptoms from a website or a general scheduling conversation.
Do I need gut testing or a supplement package?
There is no universal testing or supplement package that everyone must start with. Ask your clinician what information is needed for your situation, the reason for a suggested test or product, available alternatives, and the cost. Bring previous results so they can be considered in context.
Is gut-health care required for medical weight loss?
No. You can book a medical weight-loss consultation without enrolling in a gut-health program. Nutrition and health coaching are options for people who want additional support. Prescription decisions follow an in-person medical evaluation and depend on medical appropriateness.
Can I ask about bloating or changes in bowel habits?
Yes. Tell the team what you are experiencing and whether it is new, persistent, or worsening. These symptoms can have different causes. Your clinician can explain whether a clinic evaluation is suitable or whether you need another type of medical care. Severe pain, blood in the stool, or other urgent symptoms warrant prompt medical attention.
What should I bring?
Bring your medication and supplement list, relevant diagnoses, recent test results if available, and a few notes about your concerns and usual food routine. Include any allergies or food restrictions. You do not need to purchase tests or stop prescribed treatment to prepare; ask the team for instructions specific to your appointment.
Is telehealth available?
Ask about telehealth for suitable follow-up or coaching visits. Availability depends on the type of visit, your location, and the professional’s scope and licensure. Prescriptions at OlympusMD require an in-person visit. Call to discuss an appointment that fits your needs.
Where is the clinic, and do you take insurance?
We are at 12635 Crabapple Road, Suite 140, in Milton. OlympusMD does not accept or bill insurance. Ask about the cost of consultations and any separately recommended services before proceeding. HSA or FSA eligibility depends on your plan and the service; check with your plan administrator.
